8 million pages, no wait, 12 thousand, no wait...

Searching for a three word phrase (our wordspace) I get 8,367,735 pages. Each word considered separately.
Going to the "next page" Page results = 12,762 -three word phrase treated as One word <term vector>
Going back to original search, reload page = 12,762 - 3 word phrase treated as one word. Kinda funky - Good news is my ranking stays the same through both "methods" Any clue as to what is up with the funky counts/words/vectors differences?

Looks like AV is in the middle of an update, these same symptoms happened on 9/25, but then AV ended up backing out at the last minute. Well have to wait and see how everything shakes out in the end.

Last month one of my secondary two word key phrases popped into the #1 position for one day, then vanished back into obscurity. Yesterday, the same keyword phrase is back at #1 and this morning it's still there. We'll see how long it stays this time.

Talk about funky...
Now they play annoying lil' drumroll after clicking search. I'm glad they still offer This [altavista.com].

40 pages of ours on a single site went top 3 for most of yesterday under some primo top 100 keywords - today, they are sprinkled back down on pages 3-10 (bummed). But, we pulled more out of Alta yesterday than any day in our history (that's saying alot). The only day I can compare it to was nailing #2 under pokemon on AOL last fall.
Alta is doing this rotation much faster this time than the last few weeks. I think they are intentionally hitting the bigger keywords for rotation on a faster time frame. Real Estate, Autos, and some big entertainment phrases all rotated twice this week.
