Time to Re-submit, I think

After reading Jimmy6's post here [webmasterworld.com...] I called a second time and got a guy by the name of Michael (Jimmy is that who you talked with) who said any pages that are missing should be resubmitted. He did say there is currently only one database but then said, I can't tell you anymore than that. Also, he seemed not to know what I was talking about when I said the dropped pages all seemed to be pages that were submitted in the past month or two. He said the database is refreshed much more offen then that...

Brett - I do have a direct phone number to search support if you would like it. (I do not feel right about publicly posting it)

Has anyone who has resubmitted pages since the drop seen them return...?

By the way - the above completely conflicts with what the first tech told me...

Steve

Jilly

never submitted directly to them, always gone in past through canada/anwzers

I don't think you can submit to them, at least if you can it must be burried somewhere. Perhaps this is the way SE are going hunt the down the "add url" and get top rankings

Jilly, tigger's right. iwon uses the north american database and submissions via canada or hotbot should do the business.

Out of interest, the pages i reported dropped have reappeared today, without resubmitting. The index date is the original index date from first submission.

Clearly, data is being swapped in/out. More likely is testing a different database which contains the older entries, not the new ones.

redzone; I'm not sure on the iwon because whatever ink algo they switched to in (hmm, March?) just buried our templates that were working great on ink.Yahoo. I'm seeing new traffic again from Hotbot. Seems to be the same set of pages that ranked well most of last year on HB. Many of them have already made it back to the top page with a Direct *hit kick (we do pretty good on dh sites most of the time sense I obsess over meta description writing - my one 'forte).
