Several listings of subdomains for a client are showing as being reindexed 1/17 - with a title that NEVER appeared on those pages. The title is the same as the pages from the main domain, in the index for several months? Any ideas? Shows the same in Hotbot, and Canada.
The curious thing is that those pages never had the titles now appearing? Two of them even have the descriptions from the meta description tag from the main site. Not the description on the page? Am I losing my mind or has anyone seen this before?
I did use the paid submit yesterday, but expected the titles to be the ones I put on the pages.... hmmmmmm??

bigjohnt, something is going on, and I hope someone can explain what it is. I submitted 4 pages from a new site - last month and this month.

I was about to do the paid submit, but noticed slurp in the logs a little after 1 pm yesterday (gmt, I assume), and decided to wait.

In checking, the links page only is listed at hotbot (12/26/00) as well as MSN and freeserve, but one product page only appears at canada (updated 1/6/01). Another product page I submitted, plus the index page, which does have several inbound links, are nowhere to be found.

When you say subdomains, do you mean /this/ or third level?

I hope someone can shed some light on this, I don't have the slightest idea what to do at this point.

I mean sub-domain.maindomain.com. We created a few for a major dotcom with all dynamic unindexable pages. We submitted the index of each subdomain. They appeared with titles that were never on the page. I like PT and the almost instant spidering <they rank okay, but need work> I am however confused as to WTH they got the titles?? These subdomains did not even exist on the servers until a day or two before the PT submission, and I wrote tht titles myself. I am SOoo confused by this. They are indeeded indexed on the same day I submitted, but the titles, and descriptions are from another plane of existence....... an alternate reality designed to drive me to the edge....
