Cees, If this was 6 months or a year ago there would be a lot you could do to control your situation. If your site can be submitted to the various directories, looksmart, dmoz, etc - you can benefit via some of the INK partners by being indexed into directories. But, as far as ranking well in INK with new pages - I'm just not really seeing it happen right now... But, like you I'd love to hear from anyone who is having any level of luck with INK...

then I'm sorry, but you do not want to hear from me.... I rank around 15 in Google for my main phrase, #1 on Northern Light, 17 in Yahoogle, 3 in AOL, and cannot get a single referral from Canada, Hotbot or Anzwers. I don't know what it is with Inktomi but it's just not happening right now. I have about 10 pages in, none of them get anything, and are often not found in the index.

klaw07 Join the club, I'm beginning to wonder if we should have a direct link to the samaritans web site instead of Top Dog, I've been like many other's stressed out over trying to work out whats been happening with Ink, I think the long a short is nobody knows. So I'm now just sitting back and waiting :)

I have tried a little experiment with some pages that are already in the DB to see if I can get slurp to visit and index some news pages, but I am not holding out much hope.

Hi guys. Im no expert in INK but I have read in another forum that someone knew someone at INK and they said that they are having a lot of promblems with porn spammers at the moment so in-order to combat it they are using a different algo that ranks all new sites with a low position. Porn or not. This would make sence to me as I have always had great success in keeping my clients inside the top 20 until 1/2 months ago. If I were you I would consentrate on other SE's at present until INK is sorted. Im sure we'll all here about it when it happens.
