All this Crawling
Anybody see a change?

 1:23 pm on Sep 25, 2000 (gmt 0)

With all the Slurp Crawling going on has anyone seen a change in the DB's at Ink?

Same here!!!

One interesting point though - We use to use Anzwers to check for sticking pages. Now we show zero in Anzwers but still OK in MSN. Use to be that they were always the same.

As far as newer stuff ranking - nope!!!

I can see spidered internal pages still turning up on HotBot and Iwon in the newer format (no meta description) and those pages are not in the 'standard' Inktomi DB. Indeed, some of the home URLs are not even listed in the standard DB like MSN etc.

Slurp is just going crazy but never seems to list anything.. Are they just building their DB again.. Maybe someone deleted the GOOD one?

Ideas about what you folks think is going on would be greatly appreciated.

Is www.freeserve.com still the best way to check what sites are listed in Inktomi? Which database does freeserve use?

I was glad to see this posting to see I am not the
only one! I had a new page get into MSN in several places day before yesterday and by the end of the second day it was gone.
So I can't make it into Yahoo anymore or Inktomi--
I'm just hanging on by my fingernails.
