About to be forced to AT&T Uverse at home (long story, though cable is available that force bit, too) and...
Reading fine print there's a 250gb/mo cap ... nothing said about charges after and interested in what kind of charges might occur as I am not the one to see the contract and the website is a bit thin. I suspect it will be in either 5gb or 10gb increments at $x.
While I won't complain at higher speed, and ordinary web ANYTHING (except mp4/mp3) is not going to be any problem, there are two others in the house who have different needs and desires and all that possible video out there frankly terrifies me as these folks can spend up to 10 hours a day on the web!
I wasn't consulted on this, though I will end up paying part of the communal bill, nor is the account in my name so once again... not a lot I can say. But I can b1tch about the bill if it goes over.
So, the question is specifically, in your every day use at 18mbps (the upper mid-range of Uverse) have you (or your family) hit the 250gb on a regular basis?
