It had to happen sometime soon, and we'll expect more being arrested as they take advantage of the Heartbleed Bug vulnerability.

A 19-year-old Canadian became the first person to be arrested in relation to the Heartbleed security breach.

Stephen Arthuro Solis-Reyes from London, Ontario was accused of hacking into the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA)'s website last Friday by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The RCMP say Mr Solis-Reyes then stole 900 social insurance numbers.19-Year Old Canadian Arrested Over Heartbleed Bug Hacking [bbc.co.uk]

Hi there cmendla,
with that sort of attitude, I cannot imagine that
anyone would like to meet you on a dark night. :(

Birdbrain - I'm actually a warm fuzzy guy..

I see too many businesses and individuals hurt with managing threats to workstations, servers and websites.

It is no good you trying to sweet talk me. :(

I will just make certain that warm fuzzy guys are
added to my dark night avoidance list. :)

I agree that welding the door shut is a bit extreme and costly as it implies a big expense metal door to accommodate welding.

Simply sealing them in the room with an inexpensive brick wall will suffice. :)

I find it rather sad to observe that so many members of webmasterworld
forums derive such great personal pleasure from inflicting punishment.

The reality is that hacking steals from hard working business owners and identity theft can cause endless pain to the victims. I have no sympathy for those who perpetrate either of these crimes.
