All you need is a laser printer and latex or wood glue.

The german Chao Computer Club has allegedly hacked the fingerprint sensor of the iphone 5 with the same method they have used in the past to hack other fingerprint sensors, like a payment system in a supermarket. All it took for the iphone was a higher resolution.

1. Make a photo of a fingerprint the owner has for example left on his iphone.

2. Print the fingerprint on a transparency film with a laser printer with 1200 dpi.

3. Put latex or wood glue on the print, wait till it is dry and you are ready to go.

Not very surprising. Using something as a security measure you leave everywhere, everyday is simply plain stupid - like leaving the key in the lock and call it secure. Especially troubeling since the fingerprint is not only used to unlock the phone but also to make purchases.
