That's rather worrying. I never would have thought of making sure the charger is safe to connect from a hack point of view.

The update has been prepared in response to research that created malicious chargers that could upload code onto devices plugged into them.
The work by computer scientists at Georgia Tech in the US can compromise iOS devices in about 60 seconds.

What kind of iphone goes around getting charged by strange chargers? I just sat down and had a long talk with my iphone about the dangers of unprotected charging.
