Why did I know this was you when I saw the post title. That being said, do you really need it? :)

incrediBill has always sounded like a superhero name to me

|That being said, do you really need it? |
Of course not!
That's what makes it fun as it's completely frivolous and indulgent and you've got to trust me when I say I need something fun that has no purpose.
Plus, when I spend money getting my logo and shirts made it'll probably make the wife angrier than a nest of hornets, another bonus factor!
Even that little license plate got her riled up but the upside is now she always knows the license number on the car when needed for filling out forms so there was an upside in the end.

Presumably you already have the "incrediBill" embroidered bathrobe(s) ..But, for now they are "logo less"..

"O reason not the need!"
- King Lear: Act 2, Scene 4
Obviously, your logo has to reflect your super power. Which is... (Excluding the power to piss off your wife royally- most men have that ability. I know I do.)

Don't forget to put "incrediBill" across the front of your tighty whighties.

In that case, a pure black label of indiscriminate shape. :)

Hi there incrediBILL,
you may find this mildly amusing....
...or not. ;)
| 9:04 am on May 9, 2013 (gmt 0)|
I would go for a stylised "IB" after the style of the guy from Krypton. With a suitable strapline which is always used e.g.
"Is it a bat? Is it a dirigible? No it's IncrediBill!"
"That's no masked man that's IncrediBill"
You are going to need a sidekick like Tonto or the Boy wonder, and I would go the whole hog and have at least one super pet, how about "IncrediGerbill".
Also you need some sort of geeky friend; either a photographer or a news reporter, who becomes "IncrediBill's friend" and provides you with useful information in return for you saving his/her life occasionally. The friend may or may not know your secret identity, but he/she will at least suspect they know your secret.

Combining the two immediately preceding posts yields "That's not a brick wall, it's incrediBill!"
I am not positive that is the effect you wish to give ;)

I'm thinking birdbrain has a hidden meaning in that logo but since I'm as thick as a brick wall I can't quite fathom what it means.
Anyway, I was thinking more along this line: [99designs.com...]
But instead of a phone it needs to be a beer, and my hair color, etc.
For the record, since I'm a programmer I already have a geeky side kick, a SQA person that tests my software ;)

Hi there incrediBILL,
No hidden agenda, I was just attempting to give your name
a subtle sense of strength and solid reliability. ;)

For a very personal logo, you should select a real photo with a real slogan. Not, of course, something like a "<snip> you" but something related to
a) the fact you're a flame of knowledge and temperance used to enlighten the world. What about "Come to me and learn"?
b) an institution about yourself like the "Incredibill's Praise League" or the "Foundation for the Incredibill's sanctification".

Overall I'm thinking text only with some cool visual effect maybe but I'm trying to keep in mind it needs to translate to embroidering on a shirt, cap, etc.
I've done well picking logos for my sites in the past that did translate well to embroidery so I do have a bit of a track record there.
Spent an hour or so looking at other logos last night and while a caricature would be nice, I might go the simpler text only approach. I used to draw cartoon stuff back in the 80s, a few even managed to get published, but most were pretty scary stuff which I'm currently scanning and may put online to freak people out, but I did consider taking one of my own creations and use it which would be pretty dang amusing to me.

Don't forget the slogan along with the image. This one will certainly piss off the Mrs :)
"Whatever You Can Do, I Can Do Better"

My actual slogan I've had for many years is "Where there's a Bill, there's a way!" :)
