Expensive Domain Names
I can't afford that any more.

Few years back looked into registering Blend27(bot)com as a domain to run a berry-berry small blog/rant style. Then something came up... left it along. Was like 10USD at the time.

9,999.00 Beans according to SEDO.

Who the %^&* would pay that much for the domain name that is associated with an outdated(not even produced to my understanding) product that causes lung cancer?

Still ouch. The default domain-name dragon price is $1000, give or take $1 or $5. So they obviously think someone wants the name.

Hm. Sounds like one of those math exercises you do around grade 10: If you pay for x domain registrations at $10 per year per domain, and sell {some proportion} of them at price y after {some period of time}, how many do you have to sell and how long can you hold onto them to come out ahead? Now compute the optimal value of y.
