I have a hard time believing Myspace still has 54 million users. I would guess half the traffic is people googling a bands name and landing on their old Myspace page... then hitting the back button.

| After spotting that the page is showing the band's gigs for 2009! I just wish people who have abandoned MySpace for Facebook would remove the out of date information first.

it still often ranks well enough to fill a useful space on page 1.

Considering the brand recall, it can be built into a site for the same generation that used MySpace actively. The generation is a few years older now but still knows of MySpace. Quite like J K Rowling writing fiction for adults to sell to the grown up Harry Potter readers.
