Honestly though if you want to get the most bang for your buck you should be buying organic.
I saw a chart showing mineral content for organic vs conventional. The research was done by Firman E Bear at Rutgers U, and was in the Nation Gardeners Catalog.
It shows conventional grown items lacking in most minerals.
Example:

On a related note, 15 people in the US burned their houses down while attempting to deep fry their Thanksgiving Turkey in November of 2010, according to Allstate insurance company.
Apparently, they don't keep records on how many hoses were burned down when trying to deep fry Twinkies.
