By far one of the coolest apps I've seen. Setup your devices and use the same simple interface from one single remote control. I chatted with online support to see if the app was available for any Android devices (or if they offer an iPad app -- yeah, right) but they do not. The app is proprietary to the Vizio tablet. Oh yeah, I can control my ceiling fans and thermostat too.

Video link is on this page at Vizio:

I'm in no way associated with the company, just impressed with this software. Incredible and incredibly simple. Nice work.

That is cool.

People are just starting to get the idea that the phone/tablet can be the single go-to device to managing everything.

It'll take a couple of years but I see the convergence of all this stuff coming and it'll be cool when all you need is your phone or tablet to control everything from your car to the front door of your house.

What a nighmare when the battery runs flat, or it gets wet/dropped... :)

Making it waterproof isn't so hard.

Also, I've seen new tech where the phone skin was solar and capable of charging off ambient room light.

Now dropping it, that's a personal problem!

Put the damn thing on a string and wear it around your neck! :)

The upside is, opposed to the cost and PITA of replacing all your keys or locks in the event you ever lose your keys, your data would probably be on the cloud. Just get a replacement device and you're back in action.
