So it seems that the HP TouchPads are suddenly a huge hit.
Granted, only after HP canceled the whole project and the suggested price fell to $99 (16gb) and $149 (32gb) [down from $499 & $599, respectively, when introduced earlier this summer].
I think they have a GREAT thing in WebOS but they can't seem to get their stuff together to do anything with it. Palm Pre 3 was supposed to integrate with it. Begs the question, why did they buy Palm if they aren't going to do anything with it!

Palm (and HP) never ever got design (the whole reason why Apple has had success). Android is struggling in the same way - especially design of the end to end ecosystem.
I have to wonder if there's a new business model here in subsidising the devices?
