Man...Lost is super addictive. I'd like to meet the writers of that show someday. They are some seriously warped people!

I was addicted for the first two series, then they announced that it was going to take another 5 for them to get to the point and I lost interest. I'm planning on getting the box set after it ends, and I'll watch it al over the course of a few months :)

Start back at the begining Yoshimi. But for sure the second season was the weakest because they did all that character building. But it laid much of the foundation that they are built on now.

You are right Philosopher, those writers are completely warped. I have no idea how they keep it straight in their minds.

And wow, some little seemingly insignificant scene from season 2 happens, then its basis of a whole episode 3 seasons later.

Love that show. Wish I could erase my memory and start it all over again. I am new to the show in the last 18 months, my girlfriend and I did the first 3 seasons in 4 weeks on dvd, it was fantastic. I could not wait to get home from work and start watching again. Now this waiting a whole week for a new eposode just kills me.

If there are any sci fi fans out there not watching ... what are you waiting for, go rent the dvd's now!

Rugles I did it the same way. I ignored the first season. All the hype didn't impress me a bit. Season two rolls around and my aunt is like, "You're not watching this? This is exactly the kind of thing you like." I watched one episode, confirmed my earlier suspicion that it was junk and didn't look back.

It got real slow around here one week and on a whim I rented the entire first season at Blockbuster. Man oh man....

You've gotta catch this thing from the start. If you don't you're, well, you're lost (pardon the pun).

I'm truly addicted. I not only watch it, I tape it for further analysis later on....

You can catch back episodes at abc.com.

I rented the entire first season at Blockbuster. Man oh man....

that is what we did too, good times

that was some quality viewing, i would always pull for doing 3 episodes in an evening and my girlfriend would beg for only 2 ... often turned into an argument .. and i would win

Lost Rules!

In the interest of balance, House does too. And Heroes (although I think they've rebalanced too far now after robbing Hiro and Peter of powers)

But the entire Le Fleur +3 quadrangle. Thats complicated.

Jack's spell as leader is like 1/12th of Le Fleur's tenure. How will that resolve?

And then there's the Ben/Locke/Whitmore arc.

Its all genious.

I've used "Le Fleur" for the up-to-dates to follow, and the future-fans to not get "spoilt"

Had heard nothing about Lost before it came out, but Tivo'd it because Yunjin Kim was in it. Wasn't very impressed with the first hour (somehow the 2nd hour didn't record). Decided to give it one more try with the 3rd hour. All of a sudden it's "Huh, what was that? What's going on?!?" More interested, but thoroughly lost. Luckily, ABC showed the 1st 2 hours again, so was able to fill in the missing gaps and get back on track.

Have watched every episode since then. However, parts of last season really got bogged down for me and I kept watching mostly from inertia, figuring I'd already invested this much time in it so might as well continue.

Every few months my wife is away on business, so several episodes get queued up and I watch them again with her when she comes back. (Yeah right- you think I'm going to wait for her to get back before watching them?!?) Watching a second time helps pick things up that I missed the first time, especially coupled with hindsight (or is that foresight with Lost?) from an episode later on.

I just hope that when the series finally ends it has a true ending that clears up all (or at least most) of the issues. I hate investing a lot of time in a show only to be left with a "That's it?!?" feeling after the final episode.

But then again, with a show like Lost, will having all the secrets finally revealed, will that be better or worse? So I'm just continuing to hang on for the ride. :)

We don't do TV. At all. Period. Strictly DVD's/Video, 3 or 4 times a week.

However, when each season of Lost comes out on DVD we're chomping at the bit, we get on the list right away, and can't wait to get it in the player.

I will say though, after season 3, it's sure looking a lot like X-Files did with every episode - making it look like something big and straggling us along with no real resolution, leaving us feeling cheated. I hope season 4 has something with a little more meat on it's bones.

HAHA! Same thing here! :-)

Prison Break is the same way, started off hot and heavy, then seems like they just ran out of good ideas.

S4 is ok, flash forwards take a bit of getting used to. Finale is weak. I nearly didn't bother with S5 after the S4 finale.

S5 is mind-blowing. Fast paced and twisty. So mind-bogglingly twisty.

If your US or can use a proxy, you can watch them on ABC. No TV required

Season 5 is the best yet. Love how they are slowly revealing information and answering the long lingering questions.

I just hope that when the series finally ends it has a true ending

they better tell us all about the 4 toed statue, or else ... oh and the polar bears .. oh and the smoke monster

I think it depends on Ben's age ;-)

Yeah, I wonder if Ben's choices all stem from a visit to a Hostile at a tender age. What might that Hostile have told him that influenced the rest of his life.

Speaking of age, how old is Richard?

How old is Richard, who knows. He never seems to age. Which brings me to my theory why Whidmore is trying to find the island. I think there might be some sort of "fountain of youth" thing going on with the magnetic experiments. So he is after eternal life. Notice that the island has the ability to heal some wounds etc..

My ex GF and I have exchanged numerous theories as to what's really going on with this island. She's a Lost junkie too, although I think she's losing steam with this latest season. I have to admit my enthusiasm has waned somewhat. I still make time to watch it but the hardcore aspect of it is gone now. Those first 3 seasons. Wow.

I thought originally that it was some sort of time warp slash black hole slash alternate reality sort of thing. When they found Oceanic Flight 815 at the bottom of the ocean with all bodies aboard I really thought I was on the right track. Friggin' Widmore.

Something that has never been explained to my satisfaction... The black smoke. It can grab you and drag you down in a hole yet Mr. Eko backed it down. The black smoke came toward him and he faced it head on and it retreated. I wish they'd kept Mr. Eko's character (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). It was ripe for further development. He obviously had some sort of connection with the island but all we were left with were suspicions and vague ideas.

The polar bears were a Dharma Initiative project. I wondered when they'd get around to explaining that and they did. I just hope "Dharma Initiative project" doesn't get to be a dumping ground for anything that can't be logically explained.

These writers are good. Make no mistake about that. I'd LOVE to be a fly on the wall at one of their brainstorming sessions. These people are outside of the box.

But the entire Le Fleur +3 quadrangle. Thats complicated.

Jack's spell as leader is like 1/12th of Le Fleur's tenure. How will that resolve?

And then there's the Ben/Locke/Whitmore arc.

Agreed Shaddows

Given the ending of this week's episode (don't worry- I'm not going to give any spoilers), I *really* want to know how the writers are handle the consequences.

Yeah, I bought one from them once. It came with a virus that forced me to type a sequence of numbers every 108 minutes. I finally got so tired of it that I just wiped the disks and installed Linux on it.

I remember that day well- it was the same day as that huge tsunami in the Indian Ocean.
