anyone have an email address at myway.com?
i've been experiencing a long string of access problems with the email site.
i thought it was my connection.
so i disconnected verizon fios and tried my comcast broadband highspeed.
(i have both, although a clear victor had already emerged with a pending disconnect) ever since myway.com added their new email "platform?", or "software?"., it's been problem.
in brief, it's slow.
ok..ok, i can deal with that alittle while longer.
they're now using the outlook arangement which lets you see the email summary list while a lower pane
provides an email viewer, what email is highlighted in the summary pane.
there is no option to revert back to a "classic" format.
they somehow felt the need to copy the outlook and aol format.
isn't it peculiar to them that yahoo's email, msn's email, and googe's email formats still use the
sequential operation and give YOU the OPTION of such a change.
for anyone using this newer format(which is default for outlook and aol users and an option elsewhere),
if your first email in the highlighted summary pane is a spy or virus,
how do you know you won't be affected (infected)?
yes, i use norton anti spy/virus protection.
ok so, short of that and it's conventions, how would i know when the actual email is already opened in the
email viewer below in the next pane.
a close associate of mine writes sql script for a bank.
i used to cut her grass, i AM small in the thick of things, you know......
she theorizes that THIS format provides one ongoing basis that makes outlook a taget
for attackers.
come on guys, while it may be that they (malicious code writers) were raised unattended,
that's not this discussion.
a customer (that i have built a unit for), has the same theory.
while this is hardly (or not at all) a basis for conclusion, it is viable.
the real meat and potatoes of my beef with their email (sever software?) is the access success rate,
or rather the LACK OF IT.
i can access my email approximately once per week.
a monthe ago, i could not gain access for 2 weeks.
there is more, but i can't have you sleeping during my boring rant.
i have now resolved to only try it once per week.
it's a roll of the dice.
it's a pain to arrive at 187 unchecked emails, or 241, or 312, when i check all of the other
addresses everyday or every two days for some.
in summary:
you code writers, you sript writers, you email junkies, and you novices like me
who don't know alot, but know enough to be dangerous, you know who you are,
do any of you have an email account at myway.com?
does anyone have ANY words of wisdom short of ridicule.
does anyone know how to contact an email administrator at myway.com.
at the present, webmaster@myway.com, admin@myway.com, and administrator@myway.com
are uneffective.
...and to think about a post post i read here, published in 2002,
that talks about myway attacking yahoo..............
