Baltimore Ravens

(I really like that defense. I pick 'em to upset San Diego in the AFC Championship game, then go on to beat whoever wins the NFC - probably not the favored Bears)

Their defense is definitely solid, but their offense is severely lacking.

To me, this year, I think Chargers. Their defense is playing extremely well and they have the offense to match (as long as nothing happens to L.T.).

Well, I have Baltimore in the office pool ..... GO Ravens!

It will be an AFC team for sure, either San Diego or Baltimore.

bobothecat speaks the truth-the seahawks were robbed.

I HOPE, they make it, but the odds are slim. I'll pick the Saints over the Patriots in the final.

So, the Ravens and Chargers are both gone-a bit sooner than expected. The bears will be gone next week, and though it's hard to call I think the Patriots will squeak by Indy.

Alas, my Seahawks are gone. There's always next year....

I can't believe how poorly the Chargers play.

They are definitely a better team than the Patriots.

Just goes to show you the value of playoff experience. You could just see the Chargers nerves causing them to self-destruct.

Better team than that Pats? Pffff, the better team always wins, the better won.

the better team always wins

We both know that's not true. The better team ON THAT DAY will usually win.

The Chargers basically beat up the Pats the entire day, just never put them away and made enough mental errors that they left the door open and the Pats took advantage of it.

Philosopher is right. And the Pats are my team.
They screwed up, and the Pats capitalized on it. Stats show the Pats should have lost.
But as usual, the dog with the bigger heart sometimes beats the bigger dog.

Never count the Pats out of anything.

Pats win Super Bowl for the Fourth time, with a field goal.

Go Saints... would be nice to see a team that has never been to the play-off's win.

Go Seahawks next year.

Well, the two teams I wrote off are in. They ended the regular season rather poorly, but showed up in the playoffs. Go Colts!

I like to see the winner of the Superbowl play the winners of the grey cup (British Columbia Lions) in a world series for football.

Of course the bears or colts will need to play by Canadian rules football.

I missed the game.. got to sleep sometimes.

Way to go Colts!

Alas, I missed all the commercials too, until this afternoon. The Pet Shop was the only one to get a chuckle. A few others brought a smile. The Toyota trucks were just cool - curious though, is that the same voice for the Beef Association ads?

Anybody want the Bears? I'll put $100 on the Colts and give you 2 to 1. ;)

Phoenix gets the Stupor Bowl next year. Thank god I'll be 100 living miles to the north starting next month.

I am a huge Peyton Manning fan and am thrilled the Colts are champions.

BTW, I LOVE the idea of the Colts and BC Lions playing a game... would love to see Peyton playing CFL rules, I think he'd really thrive on a bigger field!

I Tivo'd the game and last night finally fast forwarded through all that sports stuff to see the commercials. Most were pretty disappointing except for the Blockbuster and Budweiser (wanna be dalmation) ones, both of which were worth several rewinds to watch again. The Bud Lite (rock, paper, scissors) and Doritos (guy in car eating Doritos has accident while scoping the girl) ones were also worth a few chuckles. The GoDaddy ones available on their web site were certainly more interesting than what was appoved for TV. ;)
