| Can you optimize images used in Flash components for SEO?

Hi there,
I'm just curious. When you use Flash in page components (i.e. not Flash as the backbone of your site), is it possible to optimize the images used?
For example, if you use Flash for rotating banners, can the banners be given an alt attribute that's visible to search engines?
