Detecting if Flash is selected

I have seen in various places that flash movies pause when the user either minimizes the browser, or clicks elsewhere on the page. Is there a way to tell if flash is selected? If so, how? Thanks in advance!

You should be able to use JavaScript to detect if the flash has focus or not.
