Flash Color Mismatch
Hex value displays different in flash vs. HTML

I've set the Background Color of a simple flash intro to #333333. The HTML page it navigates to upon finishing the animation has a background color of #333333.

The Flash BG renders lighter once it's displayed in a browser. It's fine in Flash, fine in a flash-player after being exported, but lighter once played back from the web. This feels like a Color Profile issue I had with Photoshop a few months ago, the culprit of which i found to be my monitor settings.

Any ideas? Thanks for reading.

I doubt its a color profile problem as both devices (browser render, Flash) print to the same browser.

Possibly a web safe color [en.wikipedia.org] issue?

Try changing the html page to just #333, see if it matches. Flash may be "optimizing" the color to a web safe palette on export.

After doing that I realized that the object called the background color twice and it was rendering the wrong color.

Thanks for your reply tho. Is there a difference between #333333 and #333 as far as browsers are concerned anyway?
