System: The following message was cut out of thread at: http://www.webmasterworld.com/flash/3818234.htm [webmasterworld.com] by eelixduppy - 2:32 pm on Feb. 25, 2009 (est -5) I recently joined Web Master world because I am an amateur web designer and find myself with questions all the time. I joined the forum and noticed a lot of insightful comments. Would anyone be willing to help me with this problem?
I want to amend the following object so that the movie plays ONLY on the first visit to the page? In other words, the movie will not start after a person navigates the site – then returns to the home page. Thank you!

Welcome aboard AlwaysLearning2. The answer to your question lies, I believe, in setting a cookie.
- Check that a cookie has been set - if it has not been set, set the play variable of your Flash to true, and set the cookie. - otherwise, set the play variable to false or null, do not play the video.
You also should really take a look (Google) at SWFObject, and easier and more efficient way to insert Flash into your pages.
