Short Flash Movie to Introduce Pictures Sitewide

I couldn't find this topic in recent discussions or earlier discussions via site search. (Also didn't see it discussed on other sites.)

Here's what I hope somebody would be kind enough to provide ideas for...

You know how animation is now hot for introducing different things on TV?

e.g: in a poker game, there's a card rotation animation before you see the cards, or, in a dancing competition, they introduce the names of the dancers with a bunch of stars or glitter that bursts on the screen then disappears pretty quickly.

I'd like to be able to do something like that with pictures online... Flash that jazzes up the intro without being too dramatic or annoying (i.e., what you could see many times but not get really annoyed by).

So the idea is to have a single/template Flash intro that will "splash" just before the picture loads. The pictures need to be separate (not embedded at the end of the flash movie); users must be able to save the jpgs if they want.

Also, for those who don't have Flash, or have turned it off, the pictures need to load as they do now.

I'd also like to be able to use Find and Replace to insert the Flash code just before all the existing images on the site.

Anyone here have experience doing this or something like it?
