Sliding pop-up window - how is it done?

If you go to Circuit City website to look at the product you will see a place on the page with the picture of that product and below there is magnifying glass icon and link "Enlarge".

When you click on "Enlarge" link, the picture of the product zooms in and becomes pop-up page in front of the normal web page.

Does anybody know how it is done? Is it Flash, or anything else?

TIA.

Nope, not flash. Javascript. Using the mootools or scriptaculous libraries. Or jquery. Although some do use a combination of JS/Flash.

Lightbox started things off, I believe that was the first of its kind, so Google that for starters. Also, Google 'Lightbox Clones'. There are many about. For an example of one that uses js & flash, Google 'Magic Toolbox'.
