I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a lyrics scroller(or where i can find one pre-made that can be use for my purposes). Basically, here is what I am hoping to accomplish....
On my own website that I am creating to showcase my music and CD's, I would like to have a page(ie Lyrics.html) that will have a box with the names of my Songs in it(these are my songs, not from a lyrics database which seems to be popular these days)... When the user clicks on the song name, I would wnat the lyrics to appear in a scrolling window that moves at the proper pace....
This would have to be a pre-made script that is easy to modify as I do not know flash or have any programs to modify flash. If it could work with an XML lyrics playlist or such, I might be able to figure it out, but I am pretty new. Big Ideas, little brains :) hee hee
If I am barking up the wrong tree here, be honest..perhaps a different forum or programming language would better suit? I don't know. I appreciate any and all help.
Thanx in advance!

There is probably something out there that you can find. Check on the online repositories for various script, etc.. that will suit your needs. Worst case scenario is you have to make this yourself, but I'd try to make due with something you find online. Try a G search first and see what comes up.

No ideal where I got these files originally. I think one was from flashget.com
Try searching for scrollers.fla
It loads text from a file, but I'm still trying to work line-breaks and maybe some formating into it.
Another one I found was called starwars.fla which scrolls text like in the SW movies. Although it appears to us formatted text converted to an image.

Actually the first domain was flashkit.com

I would search the help files in Flash for cue points. You can embed cue points in the sound movie so that as the sound plays, it cues the scroller to move to a specific point. I know you can embed cue points directly in .flv's, not sure about sound files. At the very least, you could embed the sound in the smallest size of video and have the video just not display.
