| How to create popular effect for opening new windows?

msg:3663782 | 7:08 pm on May 31, 2008 (gmt 0) | I've noticed a rising trend in the use of a particular effect for opening a new window. I'm seeing this effect in regular HTML sites. When you click on a link, the entire web page darkens, you see a "preloader" of dots rotating in a circle, and then the new window opens in the center of the screen. Is this Flash? Where can I find more information on either creating this effect or finding one pre-made? Thanks, Ron
