Menu behind flash in IE only

I have also posted this in the CSS forum but it has become more of a flash related issue:

[webmasterworld.com...]

I have a drop down menu that used to appear behind a flash movie in every browser.

Once i added wmode="transparent" to the embed tag every browser except IE has placed the menu "over" the flash movie.

Any thoughts at getting IE to respond?

Final Update:

The script that was placing the flash into my page had a separate case for IE browsers using the newer <object> and <param> tags - i added a <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> and IE now responds like the other browsers letting the menu overlap the flash.
