Continous Music on Website

 11:13 pm on Jun 6, 2007 (gmt 0)

I'm trying to have a song play when a website loads, and then keep playing as a visitor makes their way through the different pages. The website is done in HTML, but I have the music in Flash. Right now I use frames to make it work, but there is issues with scrolling. Does anyone know of any better solutions other than designing the whole site in Flash?

it is not easy to do what you are asking and that is a good thing.
frames are bad for several other technical reasons, so you will probably have to do it in flash.
if you insist on selecting music for your visitors be sure to provide a method to control the volume and mute.
also be aware that it is common for users to surf while listening to their own choice of music or voice content and arriving at your site will stomp all over their source material.

OK - I worked out a solution by making one HTML page and then embedding an iframe to have the content change when menu selections are chosen.

ONE QUESTION THOUGH - I was hoping to have a different flash animation on each page. Is there some sort of onClick coding where, when a menu selection is clicked, the flash animation changes?

Thank you so much!

do your "pages" have unique urls for bookmarking and indexing purposes or is that not important for your application?

I have my index page, and and an iFrame embeded in that page. When menu selections are clicked, other pages are loaded in the iFrame. I was hoping to have a different Flash animation load when each menu selection was clicked. I'm new to Flash, so I was wondering if you could point me towards a resource of some sort that will show me how.
