Mozilla Releases Firefox 18.104.22.168 Vulernability? Or just stability? coopster msg:3629141 2:44 pm on Apr 17, 2008 (gmt 0) US-CERT states that
Exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition.
Mozilla states [ mozilla.org] that
This is being fixed primarily to address stability concerns. We have no demonstration that this particular crash is exploitable but are issuing this advisory because some crashes of this type have been shown to be exploitable in the past.
Either way, get your patch.

It auto-updated and then after restarting told me that I am now part of a beta program and that the real 22.214.171.124 would be released when it had finished being tested...
Looks like I'm one of the testers.
I am not that impressed to find the update was "pre-release". There was no mention of that when it told me that the update was available.

Ok here. Firefox 3 is due for release in June, so just testing that on my other laptop. Seems virtually the same, but has a few nice enhancements.

OK here too. I never received the beta program message. Are you running a beta language version? coopster msg:3634471 8:21 pm on Apr 24, 2008 (gmt 0)
One of the things I like about Fx3 is the AwesomeBar. The revamped URL bar. Nice. dreamcatcher msg:3634801 7:34 am on Apr 25, 2008 (gmt 0)
I think the address bar is nice too. Nice seeing the website name as well as the url. Before I had urls and I couldn`t remember the site by just looking at the address.
