| Install problem: Firefox 2.0

I downloaded firefox 2.0, tar -xzvf the tarball went to the firefox directory and typed firefox it says I'm now running 1.0 What hoppen?

Are you talking about the Linux version here? If so, have you tried ./firefox within the directory to load the local file?
