It is clear that we all sit on opposite sides of each topic of discussion:
design, social networking, restructuring of forums, linking, etc.
I think that's good, and to see so many people come back just to drop their two cents shows that there is life still in these forums, even for those of us who haven't been around in a while.
The discussions (albeit heated) I'm sure are giving Brett some heartburn, but allowing him to see that there is still a lot of interest in keeping the site going. All of you on the "no change" side will eventually have to come to grips with the fact that this site is old in many aspects. Those of us who want a lot of change, have to accept that there cannot be a full scale change without completely changing the focus of the site.
What am I excited for? The happy medium that Brett (hopefully) finds and releases in the near future. That way we can all change the focus of the conversation from what we wish the site does in the future to how much we hate the new changes (or lack thereof!)
I'm walking away from this board until it becomes more focused. Following so many threads at once is sucking up too much time. :P If something peaks my interest, I'll stick my nose in again, but in the words of the (soon to be) former governor of California, "I'll be back."
Us young whippersnappers will probably carry on the convo about the upcoming WW change on Twitter or something. Thanks for the fun today folks!
