Buy, Sell, Trade?
New Forum

 10:27 am on May 26, 2010 (gmt 0)

I use several different webmaster forums to buy, sell & trade from links to buying domains & websites to finding coders & designers.

That would be my idea of increasing traffic & members.

A money making idea from this would be to have a premium option when posting to make it more visible something cheap but not too cheap that everyone would use it and the perk was lost.

This idea may get shot down in a ball of flames but I do spend money and time in other places using these services that webmasterworld would be able to handle. then we have the problem that no one will leave...

Actually all this can technically happen in Commercial Exchange. But there needs to be more categories in commercial exchange. And if WebmasterWorld is going down that road, why not have an elance type marketplace where it gets % of deals struck.

i second that op. the commercial exchange should be expanded. it would mean keeping more things under one roof, rather than having to login/visit to several sites for the above.

i have stickied some members about their services, but it doesn't feel really comfortable. it would be nice to have this all open and categorized.

What other areas would you like to see within the expanded commercial exchange?

I would love an elance-type scenario where, as a total newbie, I could post the type of help I need and be able to source/discern exactly the time and expense involved - as well as have access to qualified people to hire.

Domains & sites for sale, design, content , programming services, seo, sem services, jobs, barter

second mil2k. domains/sites for sale, seo/sem services and programming/design outsourcing.

it could be limited to members who have contributed a certain amount, e.g. number of posts or time of membership. or alternatively open to everyone, but trust rank given based on these criteria.

Yeah I agree with mil2k in the fact that you can't be specific show examples, URLs, prices it seems here that its all done via PM's and you don't get much of a chance to talk specifics or have an open conversation where anyone can come in and offer, ask questions and give prices etc.

I also agree with mil2k on the type of services he/she has listed in that buying websites while having an open converstion about it with all the information at hand like traffic, asking price or price range, ability to upload documents like screen shots that have traffic or revenue included for everyone to see sure some times thats not for everyone but many people I feel would like something like this same goes for domains.

I'm not the best explaining things so I hope ive made a case for what I'm trying to say.

These are all great ideas! :P It really sounds a bit like the #*$! Buy, Sell, Trade. Exactly like it actually. A more Elance / Scriptlance version would be best with a more stable rating system / purchasing system.
