Need a way to link to individual posts

This is a failing of current board software that's come up from time to over the years... there's no dependable way to link to individual posts. Individual preferences on the number of posts per page have created a situation where any post can have multiple urls, and it's not easy to find an individual post in a long thread.

At this point, because of legacy posts, it may be an impossible situation to solve... but I thought I'd throw this into the hopper as something I'd like to see fixed.

Fotiman - I don't see that thread because it's scrolled off the end of the page. There's a bug here that needs fixing, not unrelated to the personal preferences situation I'm discussing.

I'd like to throw my support in for this one as well. The post # solution never seemed to be a solution that was useful.
