likes dropped massively since changing design

 6:00 pm on Apr 3, 2012 (gmt 0)

we used to get 1500 likes per day. now down to 250 per day since changing to the (mandatory) new design.

is anyone else seeing this?

1500 likes per day!?!?!

you mean liking your posts or liking you page?

Either people *really* don't like your redesign, or you've moved the like button to a place where most people won't notice it any more.

has to be likes at FB but wonder how they are differentiating between fb and on site likes

sorry about delayed reply, been head down.

i was referring to people liking our facebook group - which is only possible through facebook (we don't have like buttons on our page)

i've since found out that there was a 2 week massive growth in likes - 1500 per day, thereafter it went back down again to aprox 250 per day, which is what it has been previously. so the real question for me now is why it spiked.

sorry for false alarm, i panicked after seeing the drop without looking at the historical data! too many later nights (working of course)!

actually likes to individual posts have increased since implementing the new design. people especially like the larger photos.

level of engagement among fans also dropped since the new design. i hope they can give us an option to opt for 1 column instead of two for us/them to see the chronology of post clearly. not by clicking another tab/link just to see what others are posting.
