I don't know to make a joke here or be serious.
Joke - Surely this kid can find something better to do in the bedroom.
Serious - With knowledge and determination, no system is secure. Maybe his intentions we altruistic, but his methods were questionable. Of course, society being what it is today, he'll probably get a 6 or 7 figure job once he's out of jail to test companies' IT security.

When you're 26, still living at home, and the best you can do in your bedroom is hack Facebook, there's some issues here.
What I don't get about people like this is if you have those kind of computer skills, why not build something useful and make some money?
For instance, he could've actually went to Facebook and applied for a security job to help harden their site after showing them it was vulnerable instead of being a total schmuck and landing himself in the clinker.
Maybe jail will help him get out and socialize just a little.
