XFBML like button disappeared

 6:10 pm on Mar 12, 2011 (gmt 0)

Anyone else have the XFBML like button disappeared?I changed it to iframe and it worked, but the like count is reset to zero.

I just realized this two hours ago, checked the insights and saw that people are still liking my pages since 11/3/11.

I was going to start a thread about this too, my XFBML like buttons kept disappearing, so I switched to iframe and those are disappearing as well, it's off and on.

I spent a long time searching for answers and found none.

The FB developers blog has some info:

However, the key phrase is on this blog post [developers.facebook.com]:

Lastly, we want to be clear that our deprecation of FBML does not impact XFBML, such as the tags that support social plugins.

Some of our supported FB Like boxes were out of commission yesterday for a bit too. I think they botched something in their rollout. They are back up and running now without any changes.

FYI, the only admittance I can find on this was in their bugtracker [bugs.developers.facebook.net]:

thanks everybody for reporting this issue. We are aware of this and are looking
into it.

... but the only update offered after that was multiple responses regarding duplicate bug issue reports. No reason offered for the disruption.
