Deep links without automatic home page add

Is there a way to add a deep link to a website on a Facebook wall, without having Facebook automatically add a link to the website's home page?
If I add a link to www.example.com/whatever/whatever.htm, I would like to have just that specific URL. But after I share with the Facebook link button, it automatically adds a link to the home page too, ie www.example.com
Anyway to prevent that? I worry it will confuse people because if they click on that home page URL, they won't find the thing I'm talking about in the post which is on the specific internal URL.
