So, I made a APP with facebook so I can place the like button on my webpage. With that I can make an APP page. Does this replace the fan page? Are they the same?

Do I make the fan page and link the app page to it?

I tried google but a bunch of junk comes up. =/

What sort of app. You dont need an app to create a like button. You can use the other type of page (company/product/organization/etc.)

Well, to use the advanced version of the like button with open graph meta tags a app id was required so I had to make an ID for this function.

So after making the app for the advanced like button there is a APP page I can make and publish after so many people click like. It appears that this APP page does indeed differ from the FAN page, but I am still unsure. I am hoping I can get some insight on this.

It is rather confusing that the wording APP or application serves to mean a program and also a website when it comes to facebook.
