| tying in likes between wall posts and site articles

hi,
our rss feed of articles gets posted to our wall. but people who like the article on the site don't count towards people who like the article on the wall (and vice-versa).
this means we sometimes have lots of people liking the post on our site but only a handful of people liking it on the wall.
we use the facebook og:url meta tag (as well others), and the exact same article link is posted to the wall.
is there anyway to get the likes in sync?
