Thanks, I like Yandex more and more as an alternative to Google.
The Google SERPs are too homogeneous after Panda. It's all Brands listing.
Yandax gives better results.

Hm, I dunno, their imagebot (the one that lives at 95.108) still seems to have trouble with English as used in robots.txt.
Lessee what happens if I let the regular YandexBot (the 77.88. one) in for a while. It seems to have a burning desire to look at my sitemap.

As long they share IPs with very "bad neighbours" , I'm not too much happy with cosmetic improvements.
Like lucy24 said, they have "burning desire to look" not only at sitemaps, even to scrape content for bit more.

A little late, I didn't find out about Yandex Webmaster Tools here but rather a few hours ago elsewhere. Very impressed by their new English-language service. It's not pretty or even very well-designed, but it does provide useful information from what I've seen so far.

They're running a separate spider for yandex.com, you may want to have this show up on the front page. I'll post about this in the bots forum so those interested in black/white listing bots will know to update their settings.
