Huge Traffic Spike in Germany?
Anyone noticing this on a German site?

We have noticed a large spike in traffic to our German site & our stats program is recording the traffic as direct - no search engines.

However it seems so high it would be impossible for so much traffic to come directly into the site all of a sudden without no specific reason. I am thinking it must be a robot or some kind of search engine in Germany would our stats program can't record for some reason. I know MSN recently had a error which stopped stats programs from picking it up & recorded the traffic as direct access - so maybe something similar here.

At this point i am just looking for confirmation that this is also happening to other sites in Germany.

Any help appreciated.

Have you had a look in your logs? They'll tell you who and what visited.

It probably is a bot.
