We're a Canadian company but do a pretty good number of orders through a U.S. fulfillment company. Part of our agreement with this company is that we take only a small portion of their overall UPS discount but we get a pretty good kickback on the warehousing/pick & pack fees.
We've set up our own UPS account now to handle our returns and I was somewhat shocked to find out we get a 31% discount from posted UPS rates just for shipping 20 packages a month.
What kind of UPS discount on posted rates is average for around 1000 packages a month? Speaking to the UPS rep 50% seemed to be in the ballpark of what to expect. Would this seem reasonable?
