Hello and welcome to WebmasterWorld.

It seems that you're not very familiar with programming. I'd recommend you use a packaged service to provide the transactions for you though I'm not sure what's available to you in Pakistan. Here in the States we can use PayPal or FoxyCart or 2checkout for examples. Each one works a little different so you'll need to read their sales info and documentation to see if they'll work in PK and can do what you want. Good luck!

I wish to start an online business (about fashion)in midyear. This is my first venture online. I understand that there is a need to work with e-commerce platform provider. What I am concern about is the charges for the entire services. Do you have any idea how much am I going to spend for the whole services. How about the maintenance?

A friend told me that I must be ready with the shopping cart problem. And what can you advise for the best payment getaway that is most commonly used, and is functional for every internet user. I am a bit worried that, I may not do good business online.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld pursuer,
Total costs are all over the place. You'll need to do your homework and research the options to get the best deal.

Look carefully at length of any agreement you make (many are month-to-month) as there may be discounts and/or penalties. If the legalese is more than you can understand - get a lawyer to look it over before you commit.
