Hi Guys

I was wondering if any of you guys could recommened a simple shopping cart/store front.

I'ma bit new to this and want something quite simple but looks stylish as well. I will only be selling about 100 - 200 items.

I have done a lot of searching and there seems to be so many to choose from I'm starting to suffer from information overload!

I really want a cart thats going to be supported well and has a good track record.

Here are some I have looked at recently:

Lite commerce
Presta shop
Fast cart
cube cart
coffee cart
cs cart
open cart

I have looked into a lot of carts and the above ones seem to be the better ones.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or tips for buying a good cart?

Many thanks guys!

+1 for PDshop. I use it for several sites I own/manage.

Selecting a shopping catalog/cart is heavily dependent on your needs. The big areas of concern are

  • presentation
  • pricing control
  • inventory management
  • shipping options/shipper APIs
  • payment options/payment APIs
  • discounts
  • gift certificates
  • similar products - upselling/cross-selling
  • customer reviews/interaction
  • security

I'm sure I've missed a few but I'd strongly suggest you sit down and make a list of what you want your cart to do based on this list.

I would recommend cart2mobile to fulfill your requirements. I have been using this mobile shopping cart for a long time and find it extremely simple and equally efficient at the same time.

It has a wide array of benefits which you will enjoy when you use it:

    1) No investment in maintenance
    2) Create greater brand awareness
    3) Reach millions of mobile users at the same time
    4) Lower capital expenditures

Hope my suggestion will help you.
