Swell. I was doing really well with Google Products until the Panda update. Still, I received more sales from Products than from any other source, including AdWords. Now I can foresee throwing money down a new Google rat hole.

Google Base, Froogle, Google Products, Google Shopping. What next ? Great marketing department. I will not be using Google as my search engine anymore.

This is a bummer not only for sellers, but for searchers as well. If I wanted to see 'pay to rank' results, there's plenty of pay engines like ebay or shopping.com I prefer to buy off smaller shops, as the service is usually better. Pay-to-rank seems to be pushing those types away.
