Payment processing options

 3:01 pm on Jan 23, 2012 (gmt 0)

I want to integrate another payment option to my site aside from Paypal. What do you suggest? I am not a US citizen. What are the options around.
Preferably able to process under $1 transactions with low fees.

Do you have the paypal micropayments account for those small payments ? I believe i makes sens for transactions under $10 There are people who do not want to use paypal and would rather use their own credit card. Then you sould sign up for the paypal pro option just to see how well people like it without any obligation to stay with them and get a better merchant account later. Paypal and Google Checkout both charge 2.9% + 30 cents, so at 3.5% and no per transaction fee wepay.com is less expensive for payments under $50. (I do not use webpay yet)

In the UK Nochex was a fraction cheaper than PP when I first looked at them but they may be the same now. I looked extensively at micropayment options at one time but anything other than PP or Nochex included a fixed fee which meant that I would have needed to be making thousands of sales in month 1 to even think about breaking even.

I am still looking for a good micropayment solution as a backup to Paypal. Can't find any.

Checked wepay and minimum is $0.50 per transaction fees. Nochex is only accepting GBP. Google Checkout is still too high and not offered where I am. Tough.

Have a look at INZU inzu.net their pricing is percentage only so is ideal for smaller amounts, the rate is 5% for mail-order and 10% for digital downloads but they host and server the files for downloads which can reduce your sites hosting bill.
