Putting products on Amazon.fr (much work involved?)
amazon french multilingual

Hi all,

Longtime lurker, occasional poster. Here is my query. A guy a know who works with resellers on amazon.co.uk, and on amazon.fr would like to sell the products directly on amazon.fr (and then possibly roll it out to amazon.de and amazon.it).

So, the products already exists on amazon.co.uk and on amazon.fr, but are not being sold directly by the company. They are all through 3rd parties.

I speak French and may work on this French angle with him. Is it a case that I will have to upload each product again, as well as all photos, product descriptions in French, product titles in French and so on. Is there a way to "import" any existing information on amazon from the other sellers?

Amazon don't only sell in their own right they also provide a platform for other non-competing retailers.
For example you can buy clothes on Amazon.uk but you are actually buying from a third party with Amazon handling the payment processing.

Yes, my question relates to the product manufacturer selling directly through Amazon, and not using the 3rd parties that already sell it. Would I have to set it all up from scratch again, or could I "pull" existing information from Amazon? I already have all the ASIN numbers...

The company I work for are trying to do the exact same thing, we're finding it very difficult to get amazon france to communicate.

We currently sell our physical and digital products on Amazon UK & US with an advantage account I think it's called, one would think the same applies to france but its not so simple.

You may need to re-upload all the products even if they exsist on the uk site, unfortuntely we cannot get confirmation on this.

The info you require ( contacts / conditions TOS etc for the bilingual/sellers service of amazon.fr can be found here ) [wiki.fillz.com...]

the phone number given, does appear to be continuously busy however ..

HTH ..:)

the phone number given on that page, is here in France ..but may well redirect,( as many French services of large International corporations do ) to my home country, Ireland..I have just tried again to get through to them to confirm that it was indeed the service that you guys were trying to reach ..the number is still ringing "busy" ..suggest you ask them your questions via email...even if you speak French many commercial terms here are "left in English" , so the "bilingual" seller's service may spare you any possible confusion with "terminology" ..
