Bullet Points and SEO

Are bullet points worth adding to your product descriptions? My widgets only vary by color and style. The rest of the attributes are essentially the same. My thinking is bullet points may help with conversion but I dont want to take a hit for duplicate content later. Panda passed us by thus far. I am unsure if the bullet points will help or hurt rankings as well we have many keywords on the first page and thus far google is sending most of the traffic. Has anyone with a Ecom site tested bullet points with a simple description over a description that covers the entire products details?

That's a very good question, but from a customer point of view having bullets makes it easier to read.

Certainly "major points" should be in headings and or a bullet-point list.

I am currently starting yet another Ecom site and I am building it with bullet points. I am keeping the descriptions on target and just adding the never changing info under that. Might take a few months but I should have a idea by then. First have to see if there is anyway to test it.
