Challenging times, yes...We started our business as a B&M in 1992, so we went through similar times already... Curious as to who else see's this pattern..
I.E. products priced in the $500 range...very few want o buy here, but, discounted to $350, and we have the volume again...luckily we have 45% margins bulit in so a 30% discount is still profitable...
My take is the people who wanted to spend 12 months ago, still want to spend, only, they now expect a deal and, will wait indefinatly until they get one , to spend the money the have...
