Hi guys

I'm looking for an e-commerce package that offers a tool/function similar to Dell's Configurator.

Here's what it does (you can see this yourself at dell.com)

1. Start with your base model. Customer clicks "Select" icon
2. Opens a popup
3. The customer scrolls through a list of options they can select from.
4. At the base of the Popup the total price is continually updated
5. Allows a user to complete the order.

X-cart has a configurator module, but it takes the customer back to the catalogue to select the add-on, which can be confusing.

I imagine the backend should be able to manage the relationships between various products.

Alternatively, has anybody coded anything similar before? I'd be willing to pay for this. Just PM me...

Warmly
Bona

I haven't heard of a cart that does this off the shelf. So, you'd need to write it yourself. I suggest you look at elastic path or similar developer friendly cart.
